King's Ginger

This is a high-strength liqueur created by the careful maceration of ginger root, enlivened by the judicious addition of citrus in the form of lemon oil for an unexpectedly fresh lift. The gin was firstly formulated in 1903. for King Edward VII. Rich and zesty, the liqueur was commisioned by the Royal Physician to stimulate and revivify His Majesty whilst exposed to the elements on morning rides in his new horseless carriage. One can drink it pure on ice or in various cocktails such as: King’s Ginger Mulled wine, King’s Squeeze, King’s Tonic and many others.
